Internet Addiction

Internet addiction has became a controversial topic, as no one can actually determine whether one is addicted to the internet or not as everything nowadays involves technology of some kind. Rather than stopping people from using the internet, as it is not quite possible in the current society, I took the approach of asking the public to stop using the internet for a while and enjoy other aspect of life.

I have created a set of posters with type only, image only and with both.

For the image only poster, I played with the perspective a little bit to bring the phone into focus. the colourful elements represents a wonderful life other than technology whereas the water and the darkness drowns the person into the virtual world. The type and image poster uses a similar approach, but for the text only poster, I meant to convey the message of paying attention to the environment when walking but not onto you device to prevent injuries.

Original Idea

This is the original layout for the image only approach, I wanted to show how social media and other forms of technology could drown us. The perspective and the placement of the girl did not work well so I explored with another layout that turns out to be the final poster.
